Amplitube have been pioneers in amp simulation for nearly 20 years and were among the first on the IOS platform, and the AC30 they have here certainly looks the part, so what could go wrong.
Well, quite a lot actually. My impression is that Amplitube really had one amp model when they released their ampsim package and simply gave the clean sounds to the Reverb, the gritty tones to the AC30 and the more saturated row to the Marshall and the Mesa Boogie.
There is no clean tone here at all, and very limited overdrive. But this would be acceptable if the basic tone was there and here, it just is not. It is a flat, harsh and extremely synthetic tone and frankly sounds generations behind what Bias and Tonestack are offering.
