Lollar pickups announce the release of the new “Raw Power” humbucker.

The Stooges Raw Power album, released in 1973 with guitarist James Williamson, eventually gained a cult following in the years following its release.

Like its predecessor (1970’s Fun House), is generally considered an influential forerunner of punk rock.

James left the guitar used on Raw Power at the Lollar shop for a number of weeks, and asked for the pickups to be re-produced. Lollar was able to take the pickups apart and get more than just resistance measurements. James has granted permission to offer these duplications of this original pickup set, which are versions of late 60’s Gibson T Tops. No covers, double black bobbins are standard. Alnico 5 magnets. Neck 8.1K, Bridge 7.9K – $175.00 each
